Honey G confirms Syco record deal

Honey G has confirmed she has secured a record deal with Syco.
The ‘X Factor’ wannabe rapper has been teasing her deal on 57-year-old music mogul Simon Cowell’s label for the past few weeks and took to social media to confirm she has inked a contract.
In a video clip posted on her Twitter account after Sunday night’s (11.12.16) live final, she said: "Yo yo yo this is your girl Honey G.
"I hope you all enjoyed my performance last night at the ‘X Factor’ final and, yes it is true I am now signed to Simon Cowell’s record label Syco."
The 35-year-old runner-up – whose real name is Anna Georgette Gilford – has also revealed her first single, which is titled ‘The Honey G Show’, will be released weeks after winner Matt Terry’s song on December 23.
She continued "I’m going to be releasing my first single on the 23rd December and I’m shooting the video this week so I’m so excited. I’m just so happy."
She added: "I just hope everyone goes out, buys the single, supports it, we tear it up and we kill it, smash it. Bring on the album."
As for Matt, his debut single is ‘When Christmas Comes Around’ and has been penned by pop star Ed Sheeran.
The track was made available to download and stream immediately after the hunky singer’s debut performance of the stunning song at the end of the show.
All proceeds will be going to hospice charities, Together For Short Lives and Shooting Star Chase.
Meanwhile, Honey previously revealed she believes Syco is the best label for her because she’s already built up a relationship with them.
She explained: "I entered ‘The X Factor’ because I wanted a record deal. I’m not really interested in anything else apart from getting signed to get a record deal. Obviously, with Syco, I know the team really well. We get on really well so it would be lovely to be signed by them because the relationship is already formed."
