Hollyoaks to run out of episodes in July

‘Hollyoaks’ will run out of new episodes in July.
Channel 4 has already slashed the number of weekly episodes of the soap in order to keep it on air for as long as possible during the Covid-19 pandemic but it has now been revealed that it will run out of new content by the end of July.
However, to ensure fans still get their ‘Hollyoaks’ fix, Channel 4 will be airing old episodes of the soap from their archives.
A source told Metro.co.uk: "It was always the intention to run a mix of episodes from across the whole spectrum and every era of ‘Hollyoaks’.
"We can now confirm that after technical issues, we are able to run the older episodes too and very much plan too – fans are in for a treat and we are currently looking at which of the big episodes from the past we will be airing."
Meanwhile, it is a big year for the soap, which will celebrate its 25-year anniversary in October and star Jamie Lomas – who recently reprised his role as Warren Fox, who he has played on and off since 2006 – says the soap’s cast and crew have "stepped up their game" this year.
He exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "’Hollyoaks’ is always brave and tries different things.
"This year, especially with it being the 25th anniversary, they’ve just really stepped up their game.
"Some of the stuff we’re producing is really fantastic.
"I’ve always been proud to be part of ‘Hollyoaks’, and that will always remain.
"It always sets the benchmark in trying stuff, in terms of things that other shows wouldn’t necessarily try."
