Hollyoaks’ Peri Lomax will be in "danger" when she comes face-to-face with Nico Blake.
Ruby O’Donnell has revealed her character Peri will get a nasty surprise when she throws a birthday party for Harley Frater (Mollie Lambert), but she is unaware Nico (Persephone Swales-Dawson) – who recently returned from the dead – has turned up dressed in a frightening mask.
She said: "Peri finds out that it’s Harley’s birthday, and plans to throw a big party for her. But this is ‘Hollyoaks’, so it obviously doesn’t go according to plan and there’s some huge teenage dramas going on.
"There is also an unexpected guest in a mask who turns out to be Nico, and worst of all, Peri is oblivious to the danger that they are all in.
"The last time they were together, Nico confessed all of her sins, and their friendship didn’t end well.
"Nico was obsessed with Peri and wanted her all for herself, so if Peri found out she was back, she’d probably be really scared."
Peri and Harley recently shared a kiss, but this has left Ruby’s alter-ego unsure whether she has romantic feelings for her pal or not.
She said: "Peri’s very confused at the moment, because she’s never had feelings for a girl before and is scared by this.
"She isn’t sure if she’s just confusing their feelings of friendship with something more."
Ruby recently admitted it was "extremely hard" playing Peri when her character was pregnant because she hadn’t gone through such an experience in real life.
She said: "The hardest part of acting for me is being put in situations you’ve never been put in before in real life.
"Like when I was pregnant in the show, obviously I’ve never been pregnant in real life so trying to make that look as realistic as possible was extremely hard for me.
"So that’s probably one of the hardest things. Being put in all these situations you’ve never had to face before and you’ve got to act like they’re real."
