Hollyoaks’ Gregory Finnegan and Lysette Anthony ‘constantly in stitches’ during scenes

Gregory Finnegan and Lysette Anthony are "constantly in stitches" when they are filming ‘Hollyoaks’ scenes together, and they have to battle to get through takes without laughing too much.
The 39-year-old star – who plays James Nightingale on the Channel 4 soap – joked some of the crew get "annoyed" with the pair if they crease up so much that Lysette, who stars as his on-screen mother Marnie Nightingale, starts crying with laughter and needs to have her makeup re-touched.
He exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "She’s brilliant, and she’s such a good friend.
"We have a great laugh, we’re constantly in stitches and having to try to get through takes without laughing.
"When she goes she really goes, and then she starts to cry, and then you have to get make-up back on and everyone gets annoyed with us.
"The days fly by with her. She’s fantastic."
Lysette, 56, also shares plenty of screen-time with Niamh Blackshaw – who plays James’ half-sister Juliette Nightingale – and the 20-year-old actress is "really close" to her co-star, and sometimes tutors her 15-year-old son James.
She added: "I love Lysette so much. I get on with her so well and love her to pieces.
"I love working with her. I tutor her son sometimes as well, so we’re really close. We talk, and I’ll phone her.
"Everyone says this and it sounds really cliché and boring, but when you come into a soap the family you get put in becomes real family.
"I didn’t believe that but being with Lysette, and Greg, and Owen, they are like a family."
