Holly Willoughby’s fear of flying cured

Holly Willoughby has beaten her fear of flying.
The ‘This Morning’ presenter was terrified of hopping on a plane and jetting abroad but has finally banished the phobia with the help of therapists Nik and Eva Speakman – known collectively as The Speakmans – and is now looking forward to going on holiday with her family later this week.
Speaking on the brunchtime show on Wednesday (13.07.16), Holly said: "After they asked those obvious questions, it wasn’t the plane’s fault – it got me down safely, it did its job. It was me that pegged on that I was going to die. I could feel a switch in my head go.
"I am flying very soon, so I guess that’s the ultimate test. I’m already feeling a bit better about it. I’m a little bit apprehensive, but I’m fine."
She likened the way she now feels about flying post-therapy to when she takes her children Harry, seven, Belle, five, and 22-month-old son Chester, whom she has with her husband Dan Baldwin, in the car on the motorway.
She explained: "In the same way that I get in the car with the kids I think, ‘Right I’m going to drive on the motorway now, I feel a little bit apprehensive but I’m fine.’ I sort of still feel like that, but I don’t feel like I’m gonna look out the window, and any minute now…"
Holly believes she first developed her fear of flying when she took part in the TV show ‘Fear of Flying’.
She said: "I was scared to within an inch of my life. Since doing that when I go on a plane, it sounds ridiculous and I don’t want to give anyone else a fear of flying… But when I look out of a plane window I just feel like we’re going to go towards the ground. I know what that feels like, I’ve seen it!"
