Helen Flanagan teases ‘hilarious’ Corrie exit storyline

Helen Flanagan will depart ‘Coronation Street’ in an "hilarious" storyline.
The 27-year-old actress’ character Rosie Webster will leave Weatherfield in the coming weeks as the star is to go on maternity leave, and Helen has teased fans they will be treated to a "really funny" exit plot.
She said: "I’m going out in kind of very much a Rosie style. The storyline is hilarious. It is really, really funny.
"I’ve enjoyed that about my character, the comedy."
While Helen still has a few days of filming left on the cobbles, she was teary when she shot Rosie’s exit, particularly because she is going to miss her on-screen mother and sister, Sally Dynevor (Sally Webster) and Brooke Vincent (Rosie Webster).
Speaking on ITV’s ‘Loose Women’, she added: "I just filmed my leaving scene, but I’ve still got two days left of filming.
"I was really emotional – I’ve absolutely loved it going back. I’ve loved it so much it’s been brilliant.
"I’m really, really close to Sally and so, so close to Brooke who plays my sister. I’ll miss seeing them on a daily basis. But obviously I’ll still them every few weeks or whatever."
Helen – who has two-year-old daughter Matilda with partner Scott Sinclair – recently told fans she is "definitely" keen to return to ‘Corrie’ at some point, but is "not sure when" that will be.
Captioning a picture of herself and her and Sally, she wrote: "Love this pic we took the other day on set, love this lady xxx my last month @coronationstreet before my maternity leave going to miss everyone so much especially my screen mum and sister @brookelevivincent definitely want to return as Rosie just not sure when that will be xxx (sic)"
