Heather Mills has broken every bone in her body.
The 47-year-old star – who was previously married to The Beatles star Sir Paul McCartney – believes her career as a Paralympian will give her an advantage on ‘The Jump’ because she knows what she is and isn’t capable of.
She shared: "Name any bone in my body – it has been broken. Normally I’m in hospital every two months, and this is the first season I haven’t had an injury.
"You either become braver and more tenacious or you give up, as injuries are part and parcel of skiing. But it’s definitely an advantage, because I know what my capabilities are and I’m highly competitive with myself. I focus on what I’m doing and what I can do with my leg."
Heather confesses she was reluctant to sign up for the Channel 4 reality show, however, as she knows certain tasks will be more challenging for her as she has a prosthetic leg.
She explained: "I got asked to do ‘The Jump’ last year but I was training for the Paralympics so there was no way I could do something that would risk injury. Then, when I heard it involved a ski jump, I thought, ‘Absolutely no way – that’s insane’.
"The weight of the prosthetic is much heavier than your own leg, so if you stay in the air for too long you start to turn."
The blonde beauty – who was advised by her pal Sinitta to take part in the show – also insists she isn’t bothered about winning.
She added to HELLO! magazine: "Sinitta said ‘The Jump’ was one of the best experiences she has ever had and felt like she could jump off anything afterwards. I know I’ll enjoy it but I don’t think I’ll take it too seriously. I’ve experienced too much in my life, I’ve got a sense of perspective."
