Harry Styles ‘dreams of emulating David Bowie and Mick Jagger’

Harry Styles dreams of emulating David Bowie and Sir Mick Jagger as a solo artist.
The 23-year-old singer is a long-time fan of the iconic duo and ahead of the release of his debut solo track ‘Sign of the Times’, Harry is largely shunning the typical promotional circuit to maintain a sense of mystery about himself, like the two musical icons.
A source explained: "Harry doesn’t want to talk about his personal life or be asked constantly about One Direction. It’s not his style.
"He’s spent his entire life having his every move scrutinised. He doesn’t feel the need to do interviews or the promo circuit."
Harry has already agreed to make an appearance on ‘Saturday Night Live’ and he will give an in-depth interview to Nick Grimshaw on BBC Radio 1 later this week.
But the dark-haired hunk is weary about being over-exposed in the media and is instead intent on being a little mysterious.
The source told The Sun newspaper: "There will be a couple of very big appearances to keep TV and radio on board, but it will be very limited and he’s learnt how to say very little.
"Harry’s idols are people like Bowie and Jagger. He’s closely studied their careers and that’s the direction he is heading in. He loves the sense of mystery they maintained around them."
What’s more, Harry – who was spotted shooting the video for ‘Sign of the Times’ in Scotland earlier this week – is determined to create his own distinctive sound and has been personally involved in all aspects of his debut solo album.
The source explained: "Harry has written the songs and the meanings are very personal to him, based on his life.
"He has also been playing the guitar and the piano as well. He’s a very modest guy, but it was important to him that this music represented him totally."
