Harry Judd: McFly determined to make new album

Harry Judd says McFly want to make a new record when they are not distracted by their children.
The 32-year-old drummer says it’s impossible for him and his bandmates to get together at the moment as they are all focused on fatherhood, however, they would love to jump in the studio when they have some time free.
Danny Jones welcomed his first child Cooper Alf – whom he has with wife Georgia – just seven months ago.
Whilst 33-year-old frontman Tom and his wife Giovanna Fletcher – who already have two-year-old Buddy and Buzz, four – became parents for a third time to baby son Max Mario last month.
Speaking about the affect becoming parents has had on the band’s music, Harry – who has two-year-old Lola and 12-month-old Kit with wife Izzy – told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column: "Tom suddenly has three children, I have two and Danny has one.
"Someone has a baby and they’re out for two months.
"It’s going to happen. We’d be determined to make a new album, not just do a reunion tour.
"That’s going to take serious time and commitment with no distractions."
Bassist Dougie Poynter, 30, is the only member of the band not to have children.
Harry’s comments about McFly’s plans for new music come after Danny recently said the door is always open for a McFly reunion.
The 32-year-old hunk is enjoying his solo career – which got off to a flying start with his debut show at London’s O2 Academy Islington selling out in minutes – because he can be himself, but he’d love to get back together with his bandmates in the future for "escapism".
Comparing the group to the teenager superheroes from the popular children’s TV show ‘Power Rangers’, he said: "We go off and do our own things, and then we come back and go, ‘Let’s do it, boys’. We’re like the Power Rangers.
"McFly you can go for the escapism. But right now I want to show the real side of it that I wanted to get out."
Danny said Harry asked if he could be his drummer, but he turned down the offer because he felt that would feel too much like being in McFly.
He said: "Harry was like, ‘I want to drum for you’, then I was like, ‘Yeah… but that would be McFly!’"
The ‘It’s All About You’ hitmakers have been on hiatus since 2013, and Danny is the first of the band to go solo.
As for the rest of the band, Dougie recently launched the new punk rock group INK with friends, and he’s also been moonlighting on bass guitar for British rock group A.
Harry has reinvented himself as a fitness guru, whilst singer Tom is an established children’s author.
McFly’s last new music was 2013 single ‘Love Is on the Radio’.
