Gwyneth Paltrow sings on new Coldplay album

Gwyneth Paltrow has recorded vocals for ex-husband Chris Martin’s new Coldplay album.

The ‘Yellow’ hitmaker and the Hollywood actress have come together with their children Apple, 11, and Moses, nine, for the release, which features Gwyneth’s voice on a track called ‘Everglow’.

And Chris, 38, says those involved in their forthcoming LP ‘A Head Full of Dreams’ have played an "important" part in his life.

He explained: "Everyone who got asked to sing on our album has an important part in our lives … What I’m trying to learn in my life is the value of every human."

The British rocker’s current girlfriend, Annabelle Wallis, also reportedly performs on one song and joins previously revealed guests Noel Gallagher, Beyoncé, Beyoncé’s daughter Blue Ivy Carter and Tove Lo, who all feature on the eagerly-anticipated record.

Explaining the recording process, Chris told The Wall Street Journal newspaper: "Inclusiveness is the key thing, and it all comes from that ‘Guest House’ poem. The ‘choir’ started with my two kids coming in after school and recording.

"We recorded Blue Ivy Carter in New York when her mom Beyoncé was in the studio. It comes from learning about Greek tragedy, where the chorus chimes in at times. To me, when we use that sound, it’s to affirm what I’m saying. ‘We agree with you, Chris. Keep singing.’"

The four-piece band have confirmed their seventh studio album ‘A Head Full of Dreams’ will be released on December 4.
