Gregg Wallace exits Strictly Come Dancing

Gregg Wallace sought the help of a therapist before performing on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ on Saturday (04.10.14).

The ‘MasterChef’ judge was the first star to leave the BBC One celebrity dance contest last night (05.10.14) after he failed to impress with his take on the Charleston.

Writing for the Daily Telegraph newspaper, Gregg said: "I’ve never felt so scared and uncomfortable, to the point where I was crying and having severe anxiety attacks, with pain in my chest and shortness of breath."

He added: "I only managed that Charleston thanks to an hour’s session with a therapist beforehand."

The 49-year-old star found himself in the dance-off with his dance partner Aliona Vilani against ‘Mrs. Brown’s Boys’ actress Jennifer Gibney and her partner Tristan MacManus.

The Strictly judges – Len Goodman, Bruno Tonioli, Darcey Bussell and Craig Revel Horwood – all voted to save the actress and Tristan for another show, while Gregg and Aliona were forced to leave the competition.

Meanwhile, ‘EastEnders’ actor Jake Wood topped the leaderboard after he received three nine out of ten scores from the judges for his amazing Salsa with partner Janette Manrara.

Pop star Pixie Lott came second alongside her professional Trent Whiddon, as they scored 35 points in total for their Waltz.
