Great British Bake Off to keep theme tune and filming location

‘The Great British Bake Off’ is set to keep its format despite changing broadcasters.
The popular baking competition hit the headlines last year after production company Love Productions moved the programme from its home at the BBC to rival broadcasters Channel 4, and it has now been revealed that despite the move, the show will retain many of its key features.
Sources claim that the theme tune, as well as the filming location of Welford Park in Berkshire, will remain the same so as to keep loyal ‘GBBO’ fans from switching off.
An insider told The Sun newspaper: "While Channel 4 are keen to put their own stamp on the show, they are not trying to reinvent the wheel.
"They want to attract new legions of Bake Off fans, but also don’t want to dishearten those loyal viewers who have been watching it for years and are planning to keep doing so despite the change in channel.
"Viewers will get the familiar tent set-up, in the beautiful grounds of Welford Park, and the same theme tune they’ve been hearing since it was first launched in 2010."
And although the theme tune and filming location are staying the same, loyal fans will still have to make some room for change as Paul Hollywood will be the only returning member of the hosting team.
Previously, Paul appeared as a judge on the show and was joined by Mary Berry, whilst presenting due Mel Geidroyc and Sue Perkins took on hosting duties.
Now, Paul will be joined by Prue Leith, and the show will be hosted by Noel Fielding and Sandy Toksvig.
Paul said recently about his new co-stars: "Prue, obviously shes got this huge professional background and I’ve got nothing but respect for her, I’m really looking forward to it.
"We’ve met and had a chat, there’s something there, she reminds me of my mother-in-law in a fantastic way, and I think we’ll get on great.
"I’m really excited because obviously it’s a big thing, the ‘Bake Off’, and when I heard the names read out, I was really excited.
"I did know about Prue but I didn’t know about the others at all but its perfect, I’m really, really excited.
"At the end of the day, most people were in the dark, it’s kept very quiet for obvious reasons."
Shooting for the new series of ‘The Great British Bake Off’ is set to start later this month.
