Graham Norton to host Eurovision ‘special’

Graham Norton is hosting a ‘Eurovision’ concert in London to mark the competition’s 60th anniversary.

The 51-year-old star said he is "honoured" to be co-presenting the live event entitled ‘Eurovision Greatest Hits’ alongside Swedish comedian Petra Mede.

Graham – who is the BBC’s regular ‘Eurovision Song Contest’ host – will take to the stage along with some of competition’s legendary acts including Swedish pop group Herreys, who took home the title in 1984 with their track ‘Diggi-Loo Diggi-Ley’, France’s Natasha St-Pier, who sang ‘Je N’ai Que Mon Ame’ in 2001, as well as ‘bearded lady’ Conchita Wurst from Austria, who performed ‘Rise Like a Phoenix’, to be crowned winner last year.

Graham said: "I love Eurovision and I’m honoured to be co-hosting this special show.

"I cannot think of a better way to celebrate 60 years of the greatest song contest in the world."

The concert will take place at Hammersmith’s Eventim Apollo on March 31 before being broadcast on BBC One and various European channels over Easter.

Tickets for the show go on sale on Friday morning (06.02.15) and are available to buy from bbc.co.uk/eurovision.

The ‘Eurovision Song Contest 2015’ will be held at Vienna’s Wiener Stadthalle on May 23.
