Gigi and Bella Hadid’s father thinks there are "thousands" of women who are more beautiful than they are.
The two sisters have made names for themselves in the modelling world and Mohamed Hadid thinks it is largely down to their strong work ethic.
The property mogul said: "I’m very proud of them. There are thousands of girls more beautiful than Gigi and Bella, but there are few who work as hard as they do.
"They haven’t inherited their success. It drives me crazy when I hear they owe it to my fortune."
Mohamed is also proud of his daughters’ down-to-earth natures.
He told HELLO! magazine: "My children are a gift from God. I gave them strong wings so they can fly but they have their feet firmly on the ground."
Mohamed – who has children Alana and Marielle from his first marriage and Gigi, Bella and son Anwar with second ex-wife Yolanda Foster – doesn’t think it is easy to be a great parent.
Explaining how he feels his greatest talent is to be a great father, he added: "It’s the most difficult thing in the world."
