Georgia ‘Toff’ Toffolo lost herself amid career pressure

Georgia ‘Toff’ Toffolo "lost" herself after taking on too many projects at once.
The 25-year-old former ‘Made in Chelsea’ star shot to fame after being crowned the winner of ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’ in late 2017, and went on to join ‘This Morning’ as a reporter, as well as presenting backstage at the NTAs, writing a magazine column, designing a line for lingerie brand With Love Lilly, and making her acting debut in an animated remake of ‘The Grinch’.
Toff also became the face of Very.co.uk and beauty brand Dermalogica, plus penning her autobiography ‘Always Smiling’ and launching her own YouTube channel ToffTube.
And after taking on so many projects at the same time, the blonde beauty found herself under too much pressure, which caused her to lose "a little bit of [her] personality".
She said: "I think a little bit of my personality was lost. I’d be in a room but not be there because I was so tired. Last year I was working all the time and work was over[powering] everything. Thank goodness my friends and family have been so supportive, and actually quite forgiving."
Toff has since scaled back on her work commitments and now only takes on projects that feel "authentic".
She added: "Last year if I’d done that I’d have thought: ‘Oh my god, what’s wrong with you?’ The guilt that I was carrying all the time … I’ve really realigned everything so that my personal happiness is on a par with my happiness within my work life. I’m Toff again."
The former reality star quit ‘Made in Chelsea’ last August after four years on the E4 reality show, and says her decision to walk away came as she wanted to protect her mental health.
Speaking to The Sun on Sunday’s Fabulous magazine, she said: "I forged my career out of giving everything. When I was 18, 19, I didn’t give a s**t. We sign our contracts and say: ‘We will give you our whole life.’
"But now I don’t know whether being public property is conducive to being mentally happy. I just want to stay happy and healthy in my mind. I’ve come to the conclusion that you have to keep a little bit for yourself."
