Georgia Taylor’s poor pork rasher resistance

Georgia Taylor is trying to eat less meat – but she cannot resist a bit of bacon.
The ‘Coronation Street’ star plays vegetarian Toyah Battersby on the ITV soap, and while she is trying to follow in her character’s footsteps by cutting down on meat, she is finding rasher resistance tough to take, because she loves the extra crispy taste of the pork product too much.
She wrote on Twitter; "ME: So yeh I’m trying to eat less meat rn
ALSO ME: Can I have the bacon extra-crispy please? (sic)"
One of Georgia’s Twitter followers seemed surprise to find out she is not a vegan, but the 38-year-old actress replied: "Nope"
This comes just six months after Toyah caused confusion on ‘Corrie’ when fans were shocked to hear her ordering an omelette during a trip to Roy’s Rolls, because supporters thought she was vegan.
Several ‘Corrie’ fans took to Twitter to explain their shock at the order, thinking script writers had made a blunder, but it was later clarified that the character is in fact vegetarian.
A message on the official ‘Coronation Street’ Facebook page read: "She’s a vegetarian with vegan friends"
Supporter confusion appeared to stem from a previous episode where Toyah invited pals from the Vegan Society over.
Georgia’s pork predicament comes just days after she reacted with surprise that her co-star Lucy Fallon (Bethany Platt) has never had a cup of tea in her life.
She tweeted: "never had a cup of tea in my life and I intend to keep it that way x (sic)"
Georgia wrote: "Not gonna lie, I feel a bit sad (sic)"
Lucy insisted she hates the way tea smells.
She tweeted: "It’s just the way it smells I can’t get onboard with it (sic)"
Georgia attempted to convince her to start making some beautiful brews.
She tweeted: "I’m genuinely sat here now with a massive brew, sniffing it Doesn’t smell of much to me (sic)"
But Lucy didn’t change her mind.
