Georgia Steel’s mum thinks Sam Bird is like Prince Charming

Georgia Steel’s mum has thanked Sam Bird for coming to her daughter’s "rescue" on ‘Love Island’.
The pair left the villa last week after refusing to couple up with anyone else, while they were banned from being together, and Georgia’s mother Sharon is delighted he took her under his wing after her daughter was left heart-broken by Josh Denzel.
Speaking on ITV’s This Morning, Sharon said: "Sam to me, he’s like Prince Charming he’s come to her rescue in that villa and now he’s made her his girlfriend.
"It was a very emotional time for me, I couldn’t get to tell her anything and especially when it was the experience with her and Josh.
"That was hard because it was the first time she’s ever experienced them feelings, but in my eyes she managed it amazingly well. She literally stood her ground."
Georgia and Sam decided to go their separate ways in the villa when faced with a decision to either depart the show or carry on as singletons.
However, after a few days they decided their feelings for each other were too strong to remain apart.
Georgia said: "With Sam there was a friendship to begin with which made me so comfortable in the villa.
"[He] accepted me for what I was, I am very different I am very unique, I say what I think there’s no filter and I’m loud."
The 20-year-old student is looking to pursue acting in the future, and the pair, who became official this morning (23.07.18) on ‘Good Morning Britain’, are considering moving to London together.
Georgia said: "That villa had some of my best friends in there and I had some of the best memories there, and I thought this is what life’s about, it really is.
"And so for me to leave that villa behind, then I wouldn’t have left it if I didn’t see a future with Sam."
