Georgia May Foote urges fans to ‘listen to instructions’ and stay inside

Georgia May Foote has urged her fans to "listen to instructions" amid the coronavirus pandemic.
The former ‘Coronation Street’ star has spoken out after many people in the UK ignored government advice on social distancing over the weekend, with the health secretary Matt Hancock not ruling out "more action" if the the public don’t take it seriously.
Taking to Twitter, Georia wrote: "Finding all this very scary. As i am sure many of you are. Knowing grandmothers and mothers haven’t been able to see their children today is sad.
"The whole thing is sad. Please, for your own safety and your families safety, listen to instructions given. This is very real.
"The quicker we listen and act accordingly the quicker this can be over and feel like a mad dream. The less people we lose. The less awful stories we read.
"I know i won’t make a difference saying it. But please. I don’t want to be in the position where any of my family are ill."
The 29-year-old actress – who played Katy Armstrong on the cobbles from 2010 to 2015 – recently revealed she was feeling "happier" than ever after getting "through the hardest times" in the past.
Georgia – who has been open about her mental health struggles in the past – tweeted: "I literally couldn’t feel happier or have a fuller heart than i do right now.
"So many exciting things happening. The best friends, family and family in law ever. The best partner ever.
"It’s so true you have to get through the hardest times for the good. I am proud of myself (sic)"
