George Clooney met his wife at his house

George Clooney first met his wife Amal when his agent brought her to his house.
The ‘Monuments Men’ star was with his parents at his home when he first laid eyes on his now wife and they instantly got on like a house on fire.
Explaining how they first met, George told David Letterman on his ‘My Next Guest Needs No Introduction’ Netflix show: "A mutual friend of ours said, ‘I’m stopping by and can I bring my friend?’ And I was like, ‘Of course.’ I got a call from my agent who called me and said, ‘I met this woman who’s coming to your house who you’re gonna marry.’
"And the funniest thing was my mom and dad were visiting, so my parents were there, and we just talked and we stayed up all night talking and then, you know, I got her email address ’cause she was going to send me some pictures of my parents and then, we started writing and I didn’t really, I didn’t know if she wanted to go out with me. I just thought, you know, we were buddies."
Meanwhile, George – who has twins Alexander and Ella with Amal – previously revealed he is eager to instil good values in his children.
He explained: "I have always felt a great sense of responsibility to other people in the world, but when you have children of your own, you realise you are responsible for their lives in a way you haven’t been before. And you become conscious that you want to make an example of your own life that they will follow. I want to make sure my children understand they have been given things other children haven’t been by accident of birth.
"They could just as easily have been born in Syria and their lives would have been completely different. It’s challenging to remind children who have been born into this glass of celebrity and money to have empathy for people who aren’t as fortunate as they are. That’s going to be Amal’s and my job to teach our children, and it’s an important one."
