George Clooney "gets along famously" with his future mother-in-law.
The 53-year-old actor spent the weekend with fiancee Amal Alamuddin and her mother Baria -who is foreign editor of Lebanese newspaper Al-Hayat and regularly appears on TV – at his villa in Lake Como, Italy and the trio had a great time together.
A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "They say the only thing more intimidating than a huge Hollywood film star is a mother-in-law, yet George showed no signs of nerves. Baria has the ability to put anyone at ease and she was equally at ease around George.
"She is not your typical mother-in-law and back in Lebanon she is a star in her own right. They all get along famously together."
George and Amal, 36, are expected to marry in September and they reportedly spent part of Baria’s visit scouting potential wedding venues.
A source told the Daily Express newspaper: "Amal and her mum were smiling, it was going pretty great.
"Amal’s mum left the next day and at the airport they all just looked so happy."
One of the venues visited by the couple was the luxury Villa D’Este, which the couple were seen arriving at by boat.
