Gemma Oaten hints at Emmerdale return

Gemma Oaten has hinted she could be set for an ‘Emmerdale’ return.
The 34-year-old actress has dropped a huge hint that her Dales character Rachel Breckle could be gracing the famous fictional village with her presence again – just weeks after her on-screen sister Ali Spencer (Kelli Hollis) was killed off.
In response to a fan on Twitter who claimed there are rumours that Rachel is coming back to the soap or that Ali could be alive, she replied: "Am I? I don’t know?! (sic)"
Gemma also failed to rule out speculation that Rachel could be behind the disappearance of her niece Amelia Spencer (Daisy Campbell) after the youngster recently went missing.
One ‘Emmerdale’ supporter wrote: "Is it you @gemmaoaten??? #ameliasdissapperance (sic)"
Gemma tweeted: "Is it me what? I’m me I think! (sic)"
Rachel and her son Archie moved to Liverpool with Ali shortly after the death of Ali’s girlfriend Ruby Haswell (Alicya Eyo), who was killed in a helicopter crash.
Gemma made her last ‘Emmerdale’ appearance in August 2015 but just a year later admitted she would be keen to reprise her role, admitting that would depend on "timing".
She said at the time: "’Emmerdale’ was such a massive part of my life. It is such a treat of a job. So I don’t think you can ever put limitations on going back.
"It’s all about timing – it would depend where I was in my personal life and career. Some people have got theories that if you play a soap role for long enough then you get typecast. But I believe you can do what you do with a talent then you’ll get somewhere."
