Gemma Collins is considered too vulnerable to return to ‘I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!’.
The 34-year-old TV personality – who left last year’s edition of the programme after just three days – had been persuaded by show bosses to make a much-anticipated return, but following the mandatory psychological tests for contestants, it was decided she shouldn’t re-enter the jungle environment.
A source shared: "Gemma is gutted because she was desperate to give it another go.
"She’s in the best shape of her life but docs feared another repeat of last year’s early exit.
"Despite losing weight and brimming with confidence, they felt she still wasn’t strong enough to cope with the demands."
Despite this, show bosses remain keen for the blonde star to be involved with the programme in some capacity, with the insider telling The Sun newspaper they "think she’s TV gold".
During the 2014 edition of the show, Gemma arrived in the Australian jungle and quickly declared: "I’m not cut out for this."
She subsequently feared she had malaria and felt so traumatised by the experience that she threatened to quit showbiz forever.
