Gemma Collins almost lost leg in stage floor

Gemma Collins’ leg would have been "cut off" if it wasn’t for Marcel Somerville.
The ‘Only Way is Essex’ star was left red-faced earlier this month when she plummeted through the stage floor during the BBC Radio 1 Teen Awards when she dished out a trophy to the ‘Love Island’ hunk and his co-stars Amber Davies and Jamie Jewitt.
But, although she has claimed she was "left in agony" following the fall, Amber is furious with her because she’s been so disrespectful towards the trio when actually, she believes, she owes a lot to the Blazin’ Squad rapper because he acted so quickly.
Speaking to new! magazine, she said: "If it wasn’t for Marcel making sure her leg wasn’t getting trapped it could have been cut off, seriously."
But she’s not the only one battling injuries as Amber, 21, has been taking pain killers because she’s been left with a "dodgy knee" after Gemma flattened her.
She explained: "We came up and the next thing I know I’ve been completely knocked. She genuinely fell on me. I’ve been having to take paracetamol because I’ve got a really achy, dodgy knee form where she whacked it."
However, Gemma, 36, has admitted she feels sorry for the winners because they had to see the paramedics after the incident because she wiped them out with such force.
She said recently: "I must say I’m in a bit of shock still. But I have found the whole experience absolutely hilarious. However, I am in a bit of pain this morning, I’m not going to lie. The seriousness of it is… What people don’t see under there is there’s all machinery going on.
"Because the three Love Island guys were coming up on the stage. I just want to apologise, as I wiped them out. They had to go and see the paramedics afterwards."
