Gemma Collins admits ‘everything happens for a reason’ following miscarriage

Gemma Collins believes "everything happens for a reason" following her miscarriage.

The 39-year-old reality star recently opened up about going through the "very traumatising experience" in 2012 when she gave birth to a child, who tragically passed away, and the former ‘TOWIE’ star didn’t even know she was pregnant at the time until she woke up with "severe pains".

Now, she has said the "very shocking" moment was "one of those things".

Speaking to Mirror Online, she said: "It was very traumatic at the time, it was very shocking actually. Time’s a healer. And you know, as sad as it is, everything happens for a reason.

"So it was just one of those things, unfortunately. But hey ho to the future."

Gemma was in "utter shock" when she gave birth to her baby four months into her pregnancy and was offered support, but she decided to deal with her loss on her own.

She said: "I was offered counselling and stuff, but I somehow sort of managed to deal with it myself. But there was a lot of support offered at the time.

"They were very supportive [her fans]. A lot of people reached out to me and it was really positive and lovely."

Gemma – who, aged 28, was diagnosed with Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), which triggers irregular periods, high levels of "male" hormones, and ovaries can become enlarged – would love to be a mum at some point.

She added: "One day. It’s not something I’m ruling out. It’s definitely not something I’m ruling out, bring it on you know."
