Gemma Atkinson is writing a "no bulls**t" pregnancy book.
The former ‘Emmerdale’ actress – who is expecting her and boyfriend Gorka Marquez’s first child – has held talks with her publisher about penning a tome which shows a "realistic approach to pregnancy", and she has appealed to her Instagram followers for help.
She wrote: "Today I’ve had a call with my publisher and agent about book number 2! (So excited!) Now I don’t just want a "get back in shape after baby book" I want a "feel like you again, real talk, no bulls**t realistic approach to pregnancy. Piles, water infections and all the lovely stuff people are scared to mention
"the remarkable changes we go through emotionally, physically AND mentally and the joys and sometimes tears of becoming Mums" kind of book. That’s my thinking. With that in mind I’d love to know what you mums / mums to be / woman in general would like to hear from me? I want a book you can all relate to, all find encouragement from and all enjoy reading knowing that although we’re all different, we can all still look and feel our best before, during and after having our wonderful babies (sic)"
The former ‘Hollyoaks’ star recently released her debut book ‘The Ultimate Body Plan’ – which features recipes and workouts – and she still finds it surreal to see it on the shelves.
She wrote: "Thanks to everyone who’s purchased my book THE ULTIMATE BODY PLAN. I still have to pinch myself when I see it in shops and even more so when you guys msg me and send me pictures and feedback. (sic)"
In February, Gemma confirmed she and Gorka are expecting their first child together.
She posted a picture of the couple’s two dogs, Norm and Ollie, who were wearing signs around their neck which read: "Guess what … mum’s pregnant. We’re going to be big brothers! (sic)"
Gemma captioned the post: "And what Amazing big brothers they will be! Myself & Gorks are beyond excited and happy and feel incredibly blessed to be meeting our new family member later this year. Baby Marquez!!! We love you loads already @gorka_marquez (sic)"
