The former ‘Emmerdale’ actress has only been dating the ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ professional for four months after they met and fell in love when she was taking part in the ballroom and latin competition last year, but she has admitted she’d like to think that their relationship is for the long haul and that one day they can settle down and start a family.
Speaking to Digital Spy, the 33-year-old star said: "Myself and Gorka, there is definitely no marriage or babies on the cards just yet. But I’d like to think so in the future, yeah, hopefully."
However, before they start trying for a baby, the blonde beauty wants to travel some more with the 27-year-old hunk – and she already finds it a struggle with two dogs to contend with.
She explained: "If the grace of God I can have a baby, I still feel too young yet. I’m 33 and there’s still things I want to do and places we want to travel to. It’s hard enough with two dogs so I don’t know how people do it with babies as well."
Gorka is rumoured to be returning to the BBC One show later this year to help another celebrity learn to dance and hopefully lift the famous Glitterball trophy at the end.
But, although the show is known for its infamous curse – in which relationships break down because celebrity contestants fall for their professional partner – Gemma isn’t worried that her man will stray as she believes they are rock solid and she’ll be there every week anyway.
She said recently: "I’m not scared, in fact I’m really looking forward to the new series and to watching Gorka dance each week. I will be there most weekends anyway. Not because I’m jealous but to support as much as possible. If you aren’t happy with your relationship that’s when you need to be worried. It doesn’t matter if you are on ‘Strictly’ or work in a supermarket, if you aren’t happy at home that’s when you start looking elsewhere."
