Gay kiss between Alexander Skarsgard and Christoph Waltz cut from Tarzan

‘The Legend of Tarzan’ director David Yates cut a gay kiss between Alexander Skarsgard and Christoph Waltz from the movie.
The 53-year-old director admitted a scene in which Waltz’s character Leon Rom locked lips with Skarsgard’s Tarzan as he lay concussed on the floor was deemed "too clever and overworked" by test audiences and didn’t make it into the movie.
In the titillating scene, Rom addresses Margot Robbie’s character Jane and says: "Your husband’s wildness disturbs me more than I can even express."
He then bends down and gives the jungle-dweller a kiss.
Yates said the first audience to watch the movie felt the homosexual scene was "odd" and wasn’t properly explained in the rest of the storyline.
He said: "We pared it back because it was almost too much. It was this really odd, odd moment when Christoph kisses him. We loved it at the time. But early test audiences were perplexed by it and in the end it just felt too clever and overworked."
But it wasn’t the only scene to get the chop.
Sex scenes between Robbie and Skarsgard were also re-worked and had to be toned down they were too racy and "primal".
He added to The Times newspaper: "I liked the idea that they could have great sex, and that it could get quite primal. The cut we ended up with was more muted, and more sensual instead, even though we did touch upon those primal desires."
Meanwhile, Skarsgard, 39, said he’s comfortable with nudity and had no problem donning a mere loincloth for the movie because he loves being naked.
He said: "I’m not a prude. I’m from Sweden and it’s different there. If it makes sense, I’ll do nudity. And I love to be naked. It’s kind of liberating."
