Gavin Rossdale has gatecrashed his daughter Daisy Lowe’s rehearsals for ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ "a few times" now.
The Bush frontman – who has moved back to the UK to fulfill his gig as a mentor on ‘The Voice’ – couldn’t resist popping into the brunette beauty’s dance training sessions ahead of the live shows to see how she and her partner Aljaž Skorjanec are getting on.
Speaking to the RadioTimes.com, he said: "She’s amazing! I wouldn’t want to go up against them. I’ve seen them dance at rehearsals a few times and seen all the videos."
However, despite starting off at the top end of the leaderboard, the 27-year-old model – whose mother is Pearl Lowe – has been sliding down the rankings in recent weeks as Ore Oduba and Danny Mac have taken the top spot with their near-perfect scores.
She said recently: "This is the most nerve-racking thing I have ever done. I’m a big bag of nerves – and a very clumsy one at that."
Daisy hasn’t had the easiest time on the show so far as she was left devastated last month when her beloved grandfather Eddie Davis, 82, died from a heart attack on the first day of the show’s rehearsal.
She explained: "It was all quite sudden. I was talking to him the day before. He was so excited about me doing the show.
"I’m wearing his watch, his shirt and his necklace. I’m going to be dancing for him. I’d quite like to dance to some of his favourite songs, too.
"I’m just trying to be with my family whenever I have time off."
