Gareth Gates wants to do Dragon’s Den

Gareth Gates wants to be a ‘Dragon’s Den’ panellist.
The 33-year-old singer-and-actor – who as eight-year-old daughter Missy with ex-wife Suzanne Mole and is in a relationship with actress Faye Brooks – is fascinated by the world of business and would love to be one of the tough investors on the BBC business show.
He said: "I’m loving the world of business. My new goal is to be a dragon on ‘Dragon’s Den’."
Gareth shot to fame when he came second on ‘Pop Idol’ in 2002 and also previously competed on ‘Dancing On Ice’, but he’s not really interested in being on any more reality shows.
He said: "I’m constantly asked to do ‘Big Brother’. I’d never say never, but it doesn’t really appeal to me."
When it comes to making career decisions, the ‘Unchained Melody’ singer always thinks about what is best for his daughter first.
He said: "Being a dad has changed my life. The decisions that I make are based on how it best reflects on Missy. I’m not just trying to build a future for me and Faye, but most importantly for my daughter."
And the ‘Stupid Mistake’ hitmaker is planning a break before committing to any more long-term projects.
He told new! magazine: "I’m in the world of musical theatre now. Last week I finished a two-year tour of ‘Footloose: The Musical’. I’m possibly thinking of doing another musical but I don’t want to jump straight in it because I’d like to spend a little bit of time with my daughter. I am doing panto though."
