Four of Diamonds inspired by Little Mix

Four of Diamonds have been studying Little Mix’s ‘X Factor’ performances.
The quartet – comprised of Caroline, 19, Lauren, 21, Yasmin, 17, and Sophia, 19 – admit the ‘Shout Out To My Ex’ hitmakers are a huge inspiration for them, as they are the first and only group to win the competition, which they did in 2011.
They said: "We’d been watching videos of them all week of their performances on ‘The X Factor’, they’d given us so much inspiration for our performance."
"It’s nice to see their journey through the competition and that’s something we need to look at and take note from because they won and they are the only girl band who have won, so they’re a big inspiration for us."
The group – who came into the competition late as replacement for axed finalists Brooks Way – insist they aren’t too upset by the harsh comments they have received from the judges so far, and the criticism only motivates them to work harder.
Speaking on ITV show ‘Lorraine’, they said: "I think criticism makes us work harder because we know we’ve got catching up to do, we haven’t had as much training, we know we need to work harder. unfortunately we were in the bottom two but we’re gonna come back next week and show what we do, in Judges Houses we lost ourselves a little bit.
"It’s motivation, it’s woke us up."
And Four of Diamonds admit entering the finals after the other contestants has seen them struggle to establish a fanbase.
They said: "To be fair, the contestants are all so lovely, we felt really welcome when we went into the house.
"[But] It’s hard because we haven’t had the time to build our fanbase in the same way, so we can’t put ourselves across in the same way the other contestants can. But we’re so grateful for what we’ve had because it’s been amazing."
The group couldn’t be happier to have Louis Walsh as their mentor.
They said: "Louis has been so nice to us, I know on camera he gets like…everyone jokes about Louis but he’s been incredible with us. He pulls us into his dressing room if he sees us walking along the corridor, he really cares."
