Foo Fighters have cancelled their European tour.
The American rock band – consisting of Dave Grohl, Chris Shiflett, Pat Smear, Nate Mendel and Taylor Hawkins – have been forced to axe their four remaining gigs following the tragic terrorist attacks in Paris, France, last Friday.
Writing in a statement, the rockers said: "It is with profound sadness and heartfelt concern for everyone in Paris that we have been forced to announce the cancellation of the rest of our tour. In light of this senseless violence, the closing of borders, and international mourning, we can’t continue right now. There is no other way to say it.
"This is crazy and it sucks. Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone who was hurt or who lost a loved one."
The ‘All My Life’ hitmakers were scheduled to perform at Paris’ AccorHotels Arena on November 16, at Halle Tony Garnier in Lyon on November 17, as well as play singular shows in Italy and Spain in the days following.
And the Foo Fighters aren’t the only band to cancel their tour as Motorhead and Coldplay have also followed suit.
The French capital was thrown into turmoil last week when attacks were launched on a concert hall, a stadium, restaurants and bars, tragically killing 129 people.
