Florence + The Machine covered Foo Fighters in Glastonbury set

Florence + The Machine covered Foo Fighters as she headlined Glastonbury.

The ‘Cosmic Love’ band was forced to step up and headline The Pyramid Stage at the Worthy Farm festival last night (26.06.15) when the ‘Learn To Fly’ band pulled out at the last minute when frontman Dave Grohl broke his leg. However lead singer Florence Welch paid tribute to the 46-year-old musician when she sang ‘Times Like These’ and thanked him for his support.

The 28-year-old singer said: "Dave if you’re listening, we love you. We all love you."

Florence started her set with ‘What The Water Gave Me’ and her most recent single ‘Ship To Wreck’, and, acknowledging her late promotion to headline act, asked the audience if they’d be her "choir".

According to the NME website, she said: "We would really have liked to have a choir but we didn’t have the time. So we were wondering Glastonbury if you’d be our choir?"

Later on in her set, Florence encouraged the crowd to jump up and down during ‘Shake It Up’ and ‘Rabbit Heart (Raise It Up)’, and then ran through the audience, where she took a daisy headband from a fan and serenaded a female member of the crowd.

Florence closed the show with ‘You’ve Got The Love’ and ‘Dog Days Are Over’, asking every audience member to kiss and hug the person next to them, before requesting every person strip off one item of clothing and swing it over their head.

Florence then removed her own shirt, spun it over her head and ran offstage.
