Fifth Harmony’s Normani Kordei solo career plans

Normani Kordei wants to go solo one day.

The Fifth Harmony star would love to do her own thing at some point but insists there are no plans for the band to split and the group is her priority for now.

She told Bombshell magazine: "Before the girls and I were put together we all had the intentions of being solo artists. Our destiny had something different in mind for now at least.

"Going into this, I was fully committed to the girls and I still am. Someday we all aspire to venture out and grow individually with our artistry. It’s impossible for five people to have the exact same ambitions all around. So to give you a more direct answer to your question and inquiring minds, the answer is, yes, one day [I’ll go solo] but Fifth Harmony has tons of work to do until then."

Meanwhile, the group – which also includes Ally Brooke, Dinah Jane, Camila Cabello and Lauren Jauregui – has been receiving advice from One Direction’s Harry Styles.

Dinah said: "I remember we were in rehearsals and he came up to us and told us as a group, ‘All five of you should be on the same page and the closest things to each other, because around all five of you, there are gonna be people that are gonna come and try to snatch you, people are gonna try to break you guys apart’. He said, ‘So, as long as you five are your best friends, that’s the most important thing.’"
