Ferne McCann wants to represent "real women".
The ‘Only Way Is Essex’ star says she’s now a size 12 compared to the size 8 she was when she first joined the show but she insists she’s "happier than ever" and loves being a positive role model.
She said: "I’m not putting pressure on myself to get skinny for summer or for filming in Marbella. Some of the girls won’t eat before we go because they’re worried about being in their bikinis. I want to represent real women. I love my food and that’s why I started a food blog. I don’t want to do fad diets and be unhealthy."
The 24-year-old beauty – who split from long-term boyfriend Charlie Sims earlier this year – admits she used to feel pressure to lose weight but has now learnt to embrace her curves.
She explained to Now magazine: "I’ve never been bigger but I’ve never felt better. I’m the fittest I’ve ever been. I can run further and train longer than ever before. I like feeling fit rather than thin.
"Over the years I’ve either been really out of shape or really skinny. When I first joined ‘TOWIE’ I felt under pressure to lose weight. I’ve tried to slim down, but I’ve always known I’ve got curves. I’m just really embracing them now."
