Ferne McCann has let go of her anger towards her ex-boyfriend Arthur Collins for his despicable acid attack on clubbers.
The former ‘The Only Way is Essex’ star has five-month-old daughter Sunday with Arthur, who was sentenced to 20 years in prison for the attack which took place in a London nightclub in April 2017 and left 14 people injured.
Ferne split from Arthur in the wake of his initial arrest and is now raising Sunday as a single mum but she relented into allowing the convict to see his child after receiving a letter from his legal representatives outlining his rights as a father.
The 27-year-old TV personality – who appears in her own reality show ‘Ferne McCann: First Time Mum’ – felt a lot of resentment to Arthur due to his behaviour and the situation she found herself in but she has dealt with her emotions and now feels as though she has moved on for the better.
In an interview with the Daily Star newspaper, she said: "Sometimes letting go is a huge relief. I had to let my anger go for the sake of my own sanity and to be the best possible mum to Sunday. And I’m beginning to come out the other side. Time has helped me to realise things do get better and I have so much to be grateful for."
But admitting that Sunday pulled her through her darkest moments over the last year, she added: "If I didn’t have her, I just would have been depressed."
Ferne is fully focused on baby Sunday and herself and she has now overhauled her diet and exercise regime so she is the healthiest and fittest she can be to be the best parent possible.
Ferne – who is now on a Herbalife plan – said: "I live a very clean, healthy lifestyle. I feel body confident. It’s not a diet, it’s a lifestyle. I’ve only recently returned to the gym – you have to be careful after having a baby and allow your body to recover. I love weights and I don’t focus on cardio any more … Since having Sunday, I have wanted to feel sexy and look good and this showcases just that.
