Fearne Cotton believes motherhood gave her a "true" purpose in her life.
The ‘Celebrity Juice’ star has 23-month old son Rex with her husband Jesse Wood and has confessed she always felt there was something missing in her life until she gave birth in February 2013.
Fearne said: "I always felt there was something slightly lacking. That there should be something more to my life. Something a bit meatier, a bit deeper, a bit more real.
"Becoming a mum made me feel I had a true purpose. You don’t really have that feeling of absolute love until you become a parent yourself … the responsibility and overwhelming love you feel. It’s something else. I feel it’s the reason I’m here on planet Earth – to nurture guide and support this little man."
Fearne – who is also a stepmother to Jesse’s children, Arthur, 12, and Lola, eight, from a previous relationship – would be "over the moon" if the couple were to have more kids in the future.
The BBC Radio 1 DJ told HELLO! magazine: "I’d be over the moon to have the opportunity again because I’ve loved every second of the whole motherhood experience.
"I’ve always felt that as a woman, nurturing is what I should be doing. I’m a big nurturer and have always done it for friends family and pets and being a mum is getting to do that on a greater level."
