Faye Brookes was surprised by her boyfriend Gareth Gates when he made a romantic trip to Manchester to visit her on the set of ‘Coronation Street’.
The 29-year-old actress has been working non-stop on the ITV soap as her character Kate Connor’s lesbian relationship with Rana Nazir (Bhavna Limbachia) dominates the episodes and has gripped the nation with viewers dubbing the couple ‘Kana’.
Gareth, 33, has been busy himself performing live and ahead of flying out to Marbella to sing at former ‘TOWIE’ star Elliott Wright’s restaurant Olivia’s he decided to make a stop in the Northern city on Wednesday (02.05.18) to spend some brief quality time with his girlfriend.
And the former ‘Pop Idol’ star’s impromptu visit was much appreciated by Faye.
Gareth posted on Twitter: "I flew in to Manchester 12 hours ago to see my lady @Faye_Brookes and now I’m back at the airport. Next stop Marbella [sic]"
And Faye replied on the social media site: "I loved every minute my angel x"
The couple have been dating for four years and they first met whilst working together on ‘Legally Blonde’.
Gareth has admitted he would be interested in joining his partner of the ‘Corrie’ cobbles, but Faye has banned him from coming to Weatherfield.
He previously said: "I’d quite fancy a role on ‘Coronation Street’ but Faye doesn’t want me there. She tells me that it’s her turf."
