Evanna Lynch praises Jude Law as Dumbledore

Evanna Lynch has heaped praise on Jude Law’s performance as Dumbledore in ‘Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald’.
The 27-year-old actress played Luna Lovegood in the original ‘Harry Potter’ movies, and she can’t wait for fans of the franchise – which is based on the award-winning books by J.K. Rowling – to witness the 45-year-old actor take on the role of the legendary headmaster of Hogwarts in the second spin-off.
She told The Hollywood Reporter: "He is so perfect as Dumbledore.
"He totally captures that serenity, that inner peace."
Jude plays a younger version of Dumbledore and Evanna teased that fans will see a "manipulative side" of the witchcraft and wizardry school leader, who was played by the late Richard Harris and Michael Gambon in the ‘Harry Potter’ movies.
She said: "He captures the manipulative side of Dumbledore.
"Dumbledore’s a kind person — he’s nice.
"He’s not manipulative in an evil way.
He wants to get people on his side, fighting for the right thing.
"You see that in book six, and that’s really shown more, explored more, in this movie.
"From what I’ve seen, I think he’s perfect."
The Irish actress also teased that "a lot of bombshells" will be "dropped" in the next instalment.
She said: "The second movie goes so much deeper into the world.
"It really gives much more texture to all the characters that we know and love as the secondary characters — the adults who were running Hogwarts — so I’m so excited. A lot of bombshells are going to be dropped in this movie, which I can’t wait for the rest of the fans to find out."
‘Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald’ follows the story of enemies Dumbledore and Gellert Grindelwald – who will be played again by Johnny Depp – and sees Jude’s alter-ego team up with former student Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne) in an attempt to stop Grindelwald, one of the most powerful and dangerous Dark Wizards of all time, in creating a world where pure-bloods rule over Muggles.
The movie hit screens in the UK on November 16.
