Evangeline Lilly confirms Avengers role

Evangeline Lilly has confirmed she will appear in the fourth ‘Avengers’ movie.
The brunette beauty starred as Hope van Dyne – the daughter of Henry Pym and Janet van Dyne, AKA the original Ant-Man and Wasp – in 2015’s ‘Ant-Man’ and has revealed her character will return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
However, she will not star in ‘Avengers: Infinity War’, which is the first of a two-part sequel in the blockbuster franchise, which is expected to be released in 2018, because producers are saving the big reveal of her costume for the ‘Ant-Man’ sequel, ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp’.
Speaking to Blastr about her character, who will inherit the Wasp legacy from her mother, she revealed: "I’m excited because it’s essentially going to be the origin of the Wasp. Of course, we’re going to see the Wasp for the first time take on the mantle, and put on the suit, and fly about, and do her thing. Following that one, there’s an ‘Avengers’ series coming out, I believe it’s a two-parter, and the Wasp won’t be in the first part, she’ll be in the second part because they want to preserve that reveal for ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp.’"
The 37-year-old actress has had her dream come true as had said she would love to do more Marvel movies.
She previously said: "I would love to see her join ‘The Avengers’. Hope is a very, very capable, intelligent and, to a certain extent, lethal woman, even in her own right, without any superhero powers.
"There is that element that she is the Wasp’s daughter and a chance to create that is fun.
"As far as the plans for her going forward… I think everyone who signs with Marvel has to sign a multi-picture deal. I’m just crossing my fingers that that turns into something, that they ask me back and that I have to do more movies."
