Eva Zapico was scouted by ‘Love Island’ producers to star on the show.
The 21-year-old beauty – who entered the series during Casa Amor week and subsequently sparked up a romance with Nas Majeed – has revealed via her own YouTube channel that she was headhunted by producers to appear on the winter series of the popular dating show.
Eva recalled: "It was very early September and I just woke up one morning and I got a message from the verified ITV account, and they basically messaged me saying, ‘We’re looking for a group of singletons to find love this winter.’"
Eva was encouraged by the producers to formally apply for the show – but she never got around to doing it.
Speaking about the recruitment process, she explained: "I just never got round to doing it, so a few days later she messaged me, ‘Where’s your application?’"
Eva then completed an application, at the request of the recruiter, and subsequently attended an open audition in London.
She said: "They just asked me questions like if I had one night stands and stuff like that, it didn’t feel like an audition for me – I literally just went in there and was just myself."
Meanwhile, Nas recently admitted that he and Eva are exclusive to one another.
The TV star also revealed he’s already introduced Eva to his family.
Speaking about their romance, he shared: "We’re exclusively dating. She’s met my parents … She met my family and the first thing she said was: ‘Oh, hello, auntie.’"
