Eva O’Hara fell over ‘spectacularly’ filming Hollyoaks debut

‘Hollyoaks’ newcomer Eva O’Hara "fell over spectacularly" while filming a steamy scene with Rishi Nair.
The actress made her debut as Verity Hutchinson, the daughter of Edward Hutchinson (Joe McGann) and the half-sister of Tony Hutchinson (Nick Pickard), in this week’s ‘Hollyoaks Later’, and her character quickly set her sights on Sami Maalik (Rishi).
And while things went well on screen for the two ‘Oaks’ characters, who ended up smooching in The Loft, the filming process wasn’t so smooth.
Eva said: "I fell over spectacularly. Rishi had to pull me into the room, and I properly hit the floor."
However, the moment helped to "break the ice" for the newcomer.
She said: "I did a complete 360, but that was a nice way to break the ice.
"From that moment on, we were just laughing a lot."
And Rishi admits the comical moment tied in well with the scene because the pair were trying to "have fun with it" anyway.
Speaking in a joint interview with Inside Soap magazine, he added: "With those kinds of scenes, we just want to have fun with it, and I think it really worked because we were having such a laugh.
"At that point, Sami and Verity had drunk a few drinks, so they were being quite playful anyway."
After arriving in the village, Verity is hoping to establish her own law firm, and the actress feels "utterly blessed" to have joined the cast.
She recently said: "I have been totally bowled over by the wonderful team at ‘Hollyoaks’. I have fallen in love with the warmth and passion of everyone involved, and feel utterly blessed to be involved in such a creative environment.
"She [Verity] has a fascinating balance of ruthlessness and compassion, making her one to watch … I’ve found myself feeling jealous of her fearlessness at times."
