Eva Mendes reportedly calls her daughter ‘Preciosa’.
The ‘Hitch’ actress, who gave birth to her first child with boyfriend Ryan Gosling earlier this month, has yet to reveal their newborn baby girl’s actual name, but has reportedly started using the nickname, which means precious in Spanish.
A source close to the 40-year-old beauty said she is completely besotted with the tot.
The insider told People magazine: "Eva’s in the deliriously tired but blissfully-in-love stage where she wants to do everything herself."
The actress and ‘The Notebook’ star Ryan, 33, "are both floating on a cloud," and the source added: "Eva is so happy it gives you chills.
"Ryan is madly in love with the baby. He changed diapers and assisted with the baby’s first bath. He had tears in his eyes when the baby was born."
Ryan once vowed to scale back his workload when he had a family and a source also previously said he had no desire to work during Eva’s pregnancy.
The source said: "His family is now his number one priority. He’s accomplished everything work-wise that he had hoped and this is the next step in his life."
The couple started dating in 2011 after meeting on the set of their movie ‘The Place Beyond The Pines’.
