Emmerdale’s Daz Spencer is a killer

Emmerdale’s Daz Spencer has been exposed as a killer.
Fans of the long-running soap have been gripped by the disappearance of school girl Amelia Spencer (Daisy Campbell) after she vanished last month without a word, but viewers were in for a bigger shock last night (19.06.18) when her biological father – played by Mark Jordon – revealed to his brother Dan Spencer (Liam Fox) that he accidentally shot someone while he was serving in the army back in 2009.
The shocking truth came out after the former Staff Sergeant was pulled in by the police when they found out the Amelia’s abductor was going by the username ‘Helmand 2009’ and his killer past linked him to the suspicious online handle.
After Dan – who has only just found out he isn’t Amelia’s father despite raising her as his own for past 12 years – threatened him and demanded he tell him where the youngster was, Daz decided he had no choice but to open up about his past.
Daz said: "They just wanted to know about my time in the army!"
To which Dan replied: "Why is that so important?"
An visibly emotional Daz explained: "You really want to know? I killed somebody."
A puzzled Dan shot back: "So you’re a murderer?"
Daz, with tears in his eyes, said: "No, no, it wasn’t my fault, not really. It was a fire training exercise. I’d had a few to drink the night before but I wasn’t over the limit. In fact, I’d been cleared by the shooting incident review team.
"I mean, I may not have been my sharpest, but I was told somebody had been shot. I didn’t know it was my bullet that had killed him."
He then begged his brother not to tell anyone and claimed someone was trying to set him up because the 2009 in the username had been the year of the shooting.
He exclaimed: "Think about it! Someone is trying to set me up!"
But Dan wasn’t having any of it and told him to stay away from him and threatened to kill him if he finds out he had something to do with Amelia’s disappearance.
