Emmerdale’s David Metcalfe kicks Jacob out

‘Emmerdale’s David Metcalfe will throw stepson Jacob Gallagher out after his mistreatment of Leanna Cavanagh.
Jacob – who has been on a downward spiral since being groomed by teacher Maya Stepney – struggles to cope after hearing she has been released from jail and takes his frustration out on Leanna.
After sleeping with her and then treating her badly, Jacob (Joe-Warren Plant) snaps when Leanna’s dad Dr Liam Cavanagh confronts him.
David (Matthew Wolfenden) tells Jacob: "We can’t go on like this," while Jacob snaps: "I don’t need another lecture."
David then says: "You’ve hurt too many people. And we love you but we just can’t cope with you. I want you to leave."
Meanwhile, Matthew previously heaped praise on Plant for the way he’s dealt with his ‘Emmerdale’ grooming storyline.
The soap star opened up on the teenage actor’s performances as young Jacob Gallagher, who has been groomed by Maya Stepney (Louisa Clein).
Matthew said: "I’m very proud of Joe-Warren. It’s incredible that he’s been put up for Best Young Performer at the Soap Awards, which I think he deserves more than anything.
"I’ve been with Joe now since he was seven years old, when he first auditioned for the show. I’ve seen him grow up into somebody who’s nearly a foot taller than me, which is very annoying!
"He’s just blossomed within this storyline. I know he’s 17 now, but the show has given a child actor such a huge storyline. The way that he’s gone about it – so professional and grown up – is incredible."
