‘Emmerdale’ star Anthony Quinlan is as unlucky in love as his character Pete Barton.
The 30-year-old actor – who split from his make-up artist girlfriend earlier this year – claims his love life is as disastrous as that of his character on the ITV soap, who is preparing to marry his cheating fiance Debbie (Charlie Webb) who is planning to run off with his brother Ross (Michael Parr).
Anthony said: "People say I’m quite like Pete in many ways but luckily things are quieter for me personally. I’m single at the moment but that’s OK, I’m all right with that."
The former ‘Hollyoaks’ hunk – who previously dated Michelle Keegan – confessed that while he’s happy on his own for now, he is hoping to find his soulmate one day.
He told The Sun newspaper: "Of course I’d love to meet the right person and eventually I’d like to get married and start a family but there’s no rush, I’m still only 30.
"I’m so busy at the moment it would be hard to find time to meet someone. The days we do on ‘Emmerdale’ can be really long, but I never say never.
"I’ve realised I’m not that great at compromising so I need someone who’s all right with that but I’m happy as I am for now."
