‘Emmerdale’ fans were left horrified by the realisation that Nate Robinson has been sleeping with his stepmum – but some believe there is a huge Faith Dingle twist to come.
Nate – played by Jurell Carter – left viewers in shock during last night’s (22.10.19) double bill when he told Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) he is his son, leaving some calculating that he has been bedding his stepmother after indulging in an affair with Cain’s wife Moira Dingle (Natalie J. Robb) in recent months.
One tweeted: "I’ve just realised.. if Cain is Nate’s dad, then he’s technically been s****ing his own stepmum… (sic)"
Another wrote: "so nate slept with his stepmum and also dated his little brother’s mum …….. my head sweetie (sic)"
One posted: "So Nate basically slept with his stepmum? #Emmerdale (sic)"
However, some fans are convinced that Nate won’t actually turn out to be Cain’s son – and will be his half-brother instead, with Cain’s mum Faith (Sally Dexter) ending up being his mum.
Sally recently revealed she is taking a break from the ITV soap, and following last night’s revelations viewers frantically began trying to guess why she might have to depart the Dales.
One viewer tweeted: "I have this strong feeling that Faith is Nate’s mum.. by the look on her face. #Emmerdale (sic)"
Another posted: "Nate will not actually be Cain’s son!!! Come on, it’s far too predictable and obvious. He might believe Cain is his dad but he won’t be. Faith is his mum, that’s why she looked so horrified in the caravan, she found something #Emmerdale (sic)"
One wrote: "I don’t think Nate is cains son, either he is faiths son or faith helped with his fake adoption and used cains name and that’s how faith leaves (sic)"
Confirming her departure earlier this month, Sally exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "I’m taking a bit of a break from ‘Emmerdale’, because of the explosive storyline that’s happening between Cain and Moira, and of course Faith and Nate."
But Sally isn’t sure how long she will be away from the Dales for.
When asked if she wanted to take a break, she said: "Yes, I just want to see what’s around.
"I love ‘Emmerdale’ and the team, I love my Dingle family very much.
"I don’t know how long the break is for at the moment."
