Emma Willis: Olly Murs will bring ‘good energy’ to The Voice

Emma Willis thinks Olly Murs will bring "good energy" to ‘The Voice’.
The ‘Dear Darlin’ hitmaker has been snapped up by ITV to join the coaches – including will.i.am, Sir Tom Jones and Jennifer Hudson – on the forthcoming series of the singing competition next year and, although some people aren’t convinced by his signing, the show’s host is convinced he’ll be "fantastic" on the panel and is so "lovely."
Speaking on ‘Lorraine’ on Friday (13.10.17), the 41-year-old presenter said of Olly: "It’s fantastic! He’s a lovely bloke as well and he’ll bring such a good energy."
The 33-year-old hunk announced that he’d joined the show earlier this week and can’t wait to get started on the series because he’s determined to win this year.
He said in a statement: "I’m absolutely buzzing about being a coach on ‘The Voice UK’ and can’t wait to sit in the big red chair alongside will, Jennifer and Tom.
"I’m excited to mentor new artists and without doubt, I’m in it to WIN!"
Olly’s new gig comes two years after he was dropped from his presenting position on ‘The X Factor’, which he hosted with Caroline Flack, following a number of gaffes.
But, despite leaving the show, Simon Cowell – who is the boss of ‘The X Factor’ – is reportedly upset that Olly has decided to jump ship and work on the rival series.
A source said recently: "Simon isn’t happy Olly’s swapped allegiances, especially as he left the ‘The X Factor’ to concentrate on his music."
Olly’s name was thrown around earlier this year when Gavin Rossdale was dropped from the panel because bosses didn’t believe he had the right energy for the show.
