Emma Bunton to star in ‘Smallfoot’

Emma Bunton is set to join the cast of ‘Smallfoot’.
The 42-year-old singer will play Mama Bear in the new animated adventure from Warner Bros. Pictures and Warner Animation Group, which will be released in the UK on October 12.
The former Spice Girl will join a star-studded cast, featuring with the likes of Channing Tatum, Zendaya, James Corden, LeBron James and Danny DeVito in the new children’s film.
Emma says she felt "strong and feisty" voicing her role, and hopes the two children she shares with Jade Jones – seven-year-old Tate Lee and Beau Lee,11 – will enjoy her part in the film.
She said: "It was amazing voicing the role of Mama Bear. She’s feisty and strong and I had so much fun playing her.
"I like to take part in anything that makes my children happy and this is going to be the best thing mummy’s done!"
The film follows the story of a bright young yeti who finds a human after being taught they don’t exist, and news of this "smallfoot" throws the simple yeti community into an uproar over what else might be out there in the world beyond their snowy village.
The film will feature original music, including Niall Horan’s latest single ‘Finally Free’.
Taking to Twitter, the former One Direction star wrote: "Delighted to announce my song ‘Finally Free’ for @Smallfootmovie . It will be released 6th July #Smallfoot (sic)"
He then added that he was "in straight away" when he was approached for the film.
He explained: "This song will be part of the soundtrack for the movie . From the minute I seen a small clip from it , I was in straight away.. it’s a must see (sic)"
He later shared a teaser clip from the movie with his soundtrack over the top.
