Emily Middlemas and Ryan Lawrie spark rumours of an engagement

Emily Middlemas and Ryan Lawrie have sparked rumours they are engaged.
The 18-year-old singer – who competed on this year’s ‘The X Factor’ opposite her 20-year-old beau – has set tongues wagging after she took to social media to reveal the dark-haired hunk has given her "the best surprise in the world".
The vocalist – who was mentored by music mogul Simon Cowell and was the last girl in his category to leave the show during this series – tweeted: "OH MY GOD @RyanLawrie_ HAS GAVE ME THE BEST SURPRISE IN THE WORLD I AM THE LUCKIEST GIRL EVER. OH MY GOD!!!!!!!!!!!
"This is going to be the best Christmas and new year ever. Wow. (sic)."
Speculation that the couple have decided to take their relationship to the next level won’t come as too much of a surprise to fans as Ryan – who was voted out of the singing competition two weeks prior to his girlfriend – regularly declares his love for her.
He tweeted: "Never take anyone for granted. Love as much as you can and always show it! The world is a messed up place, everyone needs to come together ."
Whilst another heart-warming post read: "I am the proudest boyfriend ever. You have achieved so much. You are a beautiful person and have an amazing future ahead. #EmilyWeLoveYou (sic)."
Meanwhile, Emily may not have made the final but she secured a place on the show’s tour, which kicks off in February, and is looking forward to Christmas.
She said: "I love Christmas songs so I’m very excited and I can’t wait for the tour, I’ve never been on a massive tour before, I’m so excited, it’s going to be amazing."
