Emily Eavis already talking to a headliner for Glastonbury’s 50th anniversary

Glastonbury organisers Michael and Emily Eavis have already started talking to their "first headliner" for the festival’s 50th anniversary.
The father-and-daughter team have revealed that plans are already well underway for the music extravaganza’s special birthday in 2020 and they have opened up talks to one act they want to take top billing on one of the three nights.
Speaking at the VO5 NME Awards 2017, attended by BANG Showbiz, in London on Wednesday night (15.02.17), Emily teased: "We’re talking to our first headliner for the 50th anniversary."
The Eavises were at the ceremony at the O2 Academy Brixton to pick up the prize for Best Festival and Emily revealed festival goers will not have long to wait to find out who will be joining Radiohead as the other two headliners for this year’s Glastonbury.
Quizzed on when the next announcement would be, she said: "Some time in March, and there might just be a little thing before. We’re all gearing up for that. There’s not long to wait now. It’s only a couple of weeks."
Other acts confirmed for the bill at the festival – which is held on Michael’s Worthy Farm in Pilton, Somerset, South West England, and takes place from June 21 to June 25 – include The Avalanches and country icon Kris Kristofferson.
Among the favourites to take final headline slots are Ed Sheeran, Foo Fighters, The Stone Roses and Depeche Mode.
